Uhuru appoints Eugene Wamalwa to head a full ministry, as usual, he is disparaged, bashed and mocked. If he would have appointed a Kikuyu, the same would have happened with greater madness.
Don’t forget, Eugene has been in the cold for two years now and we were whining how Mr. Kenyatta used and dumped him. lol. I think Luhyas would be fools to gang against there son and view his appointment as a small thing.
Boni Khalwale, a man who is famed for political acrobatics, tweeted yesterday that Mr Kenyatta used Musalia Mudavadi and Eugene Wamalwa to divide Luhya votes. I don’t want to oppose this because Khalwale knows better than I do.
But the lingering question is, isn’t it good to reward those you use to achieve your political goals?
My comrade Eliud Owalo, is always on standby bashing Uhuru appointments. His now common argument is that all the appointments Uhuru makes are geared towards righing elections in 2017.
This is coming from a man who lead a team that failed to pay ODM agents and sold our victory to jubilee through his incompetence and pedestrian arrogance. So to divert peoples attention from discussing how he and his team goofed, he has been blaming Railas loss in 2013 on IEBC, military, judiciary, police, TNA, Uhuru, Ruto, and virtually everything.
Yes, most of Uhurus appointments are tribal. This is the fact. We must on our side pressure him to be more inclusive in his future appointments. In doing this, we must appreciate the good deeds but tell Kenyans that he can do better and that’s why they need cord government for inclusivity.
It depends on how we package our criticism. To my party, we must know that Uhuru is on charm offensive against Raila in our strongholds. We must have our strategists come up with a plan to counter his “evil plans”.
As I have always opined, let’s not wait till its too late.
I still remain,
