Former Germany Fuhrer Adolf Hitler once chronicled, “How fortunate for the governments that the people they administer don’t think” When Hitler said these sensible words; I guess he had the people of Kenya in mind.
If you observe painstakingly, there is something preposterous about our so called constitution. When I joined my brother William Ruto and the clergymen in disapproving it, other holier-than-though Kenyans led by Raila Odinga and Mwai Kibaki and their crewmen ganged up to berated us.
As they say, Kalonzo Musyoka is inherently lackadaisical thus not impervious to criticism. The Tseikuru comrade could not take it anymore as he succumbed to intimidations and decamped to team YES. We the team NO led by our armchair commander-in-speech Mr. William Samoei Arap Ruto –then a HUSTLER but not anymore – matched forward anyway although we were the handed a gut-wrenching defeat our lifetimes.
As Hitler said, “The victor is never asked if he told the truth, and that it is not the TRUTH that matters but VICTORY,” we accepted and moved on” A few years later, the ‘we’ the same stone that you refused is becoming a cornerstone. Now you want to revert to our reasoning. Mesmerizingly, the constitutional quagmires that we were seeing while seated down, you could not see while standing and now you are feeling the pinch.
Since a guilty conscience needs no accuser and as the wise say that a good example is the best sermon, I’ll help you on some areas that require urgent amendments for the betterment of the future generation.
1. Scrap all those legislative idlers known as Women Representatives and nominated MPs. These people do not represent Kenyan women, they represent their families. They heist giantlike monies at the end of the month for doing nothing. Nominated Members of Parliament are only gifted with millions yet they don’t vote for bills in parliament since they represent their stomachs.
2. IEBC is another economic terrorist organization that should be abolished immediately elections are over. In fact, this one is more dangerous than even Al Shabaab because they connive with the government of the day to conduct election heists. After elections, they earn salaries for the cool five years without doing anything. The heaviest task ahead of them is reporting in the morning to sign in and later in the evening to sign out. Most of them should go home and leave a handful of them behind to help in case of an emergency.
3. Apart from downsizing their numbers in terms of representation, Members of Parliament should be remunerated according to the work they do. Sitting allowances must be scrapped completely because hey, they are paid billions of shillings monthly for shouting ‘hay’ and ‘nay’ 3 times a week, 12 times a month, 72 times a year, 360 times in 5 cool years. What a white collar job and this excludes the jumbo billions that are entrusted to them in form of CDF. Most of these comrades even with their honorableness, cannot account for the stewardship of CDF.
4. Another good for nothing claque of white collar criminals is the Senate. My God, this bunch of retired senior citizens is worse than those Pharisees that pushed for orchestrated the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and it should be eradicated like bedbugs.
Your constitution says that these fellows should continue earning scary salaries as they wait to impeach the President. Only God Knows when they impeach one given that they’ll also be asked to go back to the people and seek fresh mandate.
To my fellow Kenyans, let us manage our poverty with utmost dignity.
I have not even talked of the MCAS whose number was doubled to almost 4,000 na wengine hata hawajui kazi yao. Halafu mnasema Kenya Haina Pesa
The rest, fix by yourselves. I rest my case there at the moment.
