Deputy president William Ruto has warned non-Kikuyus/Kalenjins that Jubilee does not need their votes to warrant its re-election ahead of the August polls.
Speaking in his Sugoi home yesterday, Ruto told the Luhyia, Gusii, and Kamba community who had gone to pay homage to him that they are not ready to beg them for their votes.
The DP said he is 100 per cent assured that Jubilee administration will vanquish with or without the non Kalenjin/Kikuyu votes.
He asked them to join the winning team and stop suffering in opposition for nothing. Ruto said they have checked their numbers and confirmed they are assured of victory.
He said that the votes they were doubting are those from Kisii, Kamba and Maasai Land but they have managed to convince the three communities.
Ama namna gani my fren?”
“With More than 6 million from Kalenjins and Kikuyus, we don’t need other tribes to win. We are not beggars my frens. I want to assure you that we have assessed all our strongholds and confirmed with just the Kalenjin and Kikuyu votes, we will win the election with more than 70 per cent. Our reliable sources in Ukambani, Kisii and Maasai Land have told us we are assured of victory.
Ruto’s tribal utterances have sparked an unending debate on social media with others cursing him openly.
Ruto assured his Kalenjin tribesmen that he is in control of the government and that they should not be worried of 2022. He told them he knows the button to press in case they are shortchanged.
