Wiper democratic Movement has vowed to walk out of CORD if its leader Kalonzo Musyoka is not nominated as flag-bearer during next year’s General Election. Speaking today in Kitui County during the burial of the mother of minority leader in parliament Francis Nyenze, mama Ruth Mawia, Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama said that should Raila assume the MOU and insist on being the coalition’s flag bearer, it’ll not be business as usual.
Muthama was addressing journalists when he asked Raila to honor MOU’s just like he wished Kibaki to honour his own in 2007.
“I want to tell my brother Raila to honour the pre-2013 MOU which was him to vie in 2013 and serve as a transition President then Kalonzo to vie in 2017 regardless of whether Raila wins or not. I want to warn that should Raila fail to honour the agreement, we might walk out of the coalition in masses and reorganize ourselves” Said Muthama.
