A section of Kikuyu community leaders have asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to sack Garissa Town MP, Aden Duale, and Elgeyo Marakwet Senator, Kipchumba Murkomen, from their positions as National Assembly Majority Leader and Senate Deputy Senate Majority Leader after the two were linked to the National Youth Service( NYS) scandal.
Speaking during a voter registration event at Homeland Inn in Thika Road on Thursday, the Kikuyu community leaders led by Wachira Kago asked Uhuru to relieve Duale and Murkomen their duties because they are an embarrassment to the Jubilee Government.
“They should take responsibility and carry their cross because the millions they stole were not shared but only benefited those who have been mentioned,” Wachira said.
Wachira also advised Uhuru and his Deputy, William Ruto, to do some radical surgery in their Government because corrupt officials and leaders had soiled their names.
“Now that the President is back from Israel, he should axe everybody who has been mentioned in the deals. They have embarrassed him as we know very well that he does not steal,” he said.
