Of course 2017 have already kicked off in earnest save for my party, ODM which still wants to Okoa Kenya. On Jubilee side, they have already fixated their eyes on the price and Mr Kenyatta is taking no chances.
You don’t need to attend a rocket science lecture to decode that the appointment of the so called “political rejects” was and will remain a strategy to consolidate support for jubilee’s numero uno, Uhuru Kenyatta.
If you have followed Uhuru Kenyatta keenly since he was elected, the TNA supremo has undergone a metamorphosis that no one expected. He has ceased public display of anger and most importantly, the son of jomo has completely desisted from responding to opposition cries.
Even his deputy has stopped calling Raila, “yule jamaa wa vitendawili”. Does this ring a bell in us as the opposition?
Methink Mr Kenyatta is a clever politician and he seems to be outwitting the shrewd politician in Raila Odinga. The other thing that could be attributed to this unprecedented transformation is the pool of creme del a creme of advisors that surround the president.
Allow me take you down the memory lane a bit. The other week when Raila attacked Mr Kenyatta directly at the devolution conference claiming that his people were letting him down, the president cleverly avoided the topic choosing to stick to devolution matters. Wasn’t this smart? I am asking those who understand politics not cheap sycophants!
Today, during the labour day celebrations, Mr Kenyatta again dodged the debate on the appointment of old guards into government and stated clearly that he will not do the talking anymore but instead stick to doing his work.
This calls for the opposition to change tact and come up with new strategies of criticizing the government. If this is not done, then Mr Kenyatta will continue to swallow the opposition.
I have on many occasions called on my party to change the ways of doing things, but as usual, some youths, the same ones who cried when old guards were appointed to government, told me that I am very small to advise Jakom. Thry said it on my face that jakon doesnt need the advise from kids. Of course i didn’t believe them and you shouldn’t believe then too because I know they are a stupid lot.
You can see the double standards by yourself. If we continue with the same disorganization, confusion and applying the age old tactics, lets expect a resounding defeat come 2017. The good thing is, Jim will go vote, then come relax in the house as he swallows liquor waiting for the result, of course knowing what will be the outcome.
From there, I will be busy helping in the formation of the next Migori county government as I wish someone a happy retirement. If you cant swallow this, I have no appologies.
