Somebody has now assembled a gang of some erratic ODM online youths to bring Nairobi Governor Dr.Evans Kidero down.But to what end?How does Kidero’s fall aide ODM’s and even Raila’s cause?
My friends Hon Jim Bonnie, Charles Mark Dienya, Alan Wadi and Abdullahi Musa among others,may you kindly help us understand how bringing Dr.Kidero down will help achieve the following;
1)Make Raila the president.
2)Make ODM win the 2017 general elections and
3)Make ODM ward off the stiff competition from Jubilee and retain the Nairobi Governor’s seat which technically, is the third most powerful political seat away from the presidency and the deputy presidency.
When does ODM intend to start focussing on the main prize?When does ODM intend to disembark from this train of endless sideshows and useless political shenanigans?
The last time I checked,Dr. Evans Kidero was being said to be among the few heavy financiers of the ODM party and it’s activities. Once he’s pushed out,do these noisy boys have the means to even hire a public address system for a rally,say in Kibera?Could we get the rough estimates of what their politically amorphous bosses sponsoring these online noises have injected into the party’s kitty,beyond the usual rhetoric, grandstanding and silly political belligerence that have seen valuable political assets stampeding out of the party in their numbers?
You accuse Kidero of having failed to perform as Nairobi Governor these three years yet whenever the Jubilee pinheads have always accused the ODM party leader of having failed to do anything to humanize the living conditions of his Kibera constituents during his 20year-reign as the area MP,you are always on the front line defending him and hurling epithets the other way.
You accuse Kidero of having failed to play Party and Coalition politics in the city yet whenever the party/coalition organizes political activities in the city,your bosses organize hooligans to heckle and publicly humiliate him in front of rolling media cameras. When he stays away from these heckling and public humiliations,he becomes a jubilee mole.The same hooligans give standing ovations to our new heroes like Martha Karua and shameless turncoats like the two famous co-principals.
You deliberately assume the cosmopolitan nature of Nairobi City and the fact that it houses the national government and accuse Kidero of working closely with the national government even when that becomes a very sensible option for effective service delivery.When he fails to deliver,he must go! You think Nairobi is a homogeneous political constituency like Homa Bay or Siaya where crude loyalty to the party leader takes precedence over performance?
You decry mainstream media biasness yet the only newspaper the party boasts of long got converted into a gutter press in the mould of “The Tribune” that sells hot empty gossips at 10/= in the backstreets of Nairobi. You are equally furious with the fact that Kidero happens to own some shares in one the local national newspapers and are twisting your jealousy to sabotage his business interests and politically bring him down yet some of us have been making noise that like our opponents,we need to equally invest in the mainstream media.
You accuse Jubilee on one hand and Kidero on the other of funding Wetangula to break up CORD yet we all know how we brought Wetangula on board when we desperately needed to balance up the tribal arithmetics to shake up the electoral numbers while well aware of the innate ideological discordance.Now that his true colours are manifesting,Kidero is responsible!
Can’t we stop being cheap, leave Kidero alone and focus on the things that really matter?If there’s one thing I can never stand,it’s the hypocrisy and double standards with which we transact our political business.
