Here Is Why Kibra Must Vote For The Apostles Of CHANGE And Not The Apostles of CONTINUITY – The More Reason Why Eliud Owalo Is a Perfect Fit
By Comrade Alberto Nyakundi Amenya – Banana Peddler, the County of Kisii
Ladies and gentlemen, as we inch closer to 2017 general elections, I can only but hope and pray that the people of Kibra will seize the God-given opportunity to redirect the course of their constituency’s poor history. It remains to be seen if these great people will vote for the apostles of continuity or the apostles of change.
The Kibrans must know that by voting for installed apostles of continuity, they’ll continue to live in poverty and darkness. Apostles of continuity will further make them perpetual slaves in their land of birth. Voting for change will beckon in unmistakable terms and I am certain when that time comes, they will prefer to choose change over continuity. Thank God there is nothing to worry about anymore because that change is here with them, that change is Eliud Owalo.
Undoubtedly, the ascendancy of installed leadership on the sophisticated people of Kibra has serially brought untold hardship on the people. Because of short-sighted leadership, poverty has increased, people are dying like flies everyday due to lack of proper healthy care, mendicants have mushroomed, and security has deteriorated.
The people of Kibra need a leader that will make their constituency thug-free.
They need a leader that will redeem their neighbourhoods and render them the zones with the least number of thugs per square kilometer. The leadership that is about to be forced on the people is the same as the previous ones that have watched while their officials plunder the CDF kitty to near zero.
The administration that they want to introduce is the continuation of the leaderships that went prodigal with the people’s money only to slam austerity measures on the poor citizens at the slightest economic shocks. The leadership that they want to force on the people is the lineage of the former whose policies or lack of any sufficiently hampered economic growth and activities in Kibra.
The great people of Kibra must decide between the agents of continuity and the apostles of change. Hon. Owalo promises optimism and great hope whereas the impostor will continue to spell doom because they are only ardent at buffeting the poor Wananchi. How long will the people of Kibra continue to suffer from the effects of corruption and impunity?
The people of Kibra are tired of living in darkness – no water, no electricity, and no opportunities for their children. The previous leaderships have ruined the lives of thousands and they are not ready to take another gut-wrenching surprise for leadership.
As Hitler once said, “He alone who owns the youth, gains the future” The youth of Kibra are the future of this country and they must be empowered economically. With wonderful projects in mind, Owalo is geared up to provide the youth of Kibra with an opportunity to acquire the skills that will help them keep Kibra as the greatest constituency in the country.
The current and erstwhile Kibra administrations have frustrated the youth and turned them to recruits for political banditry. Kibra needs a Member of Parliament who can give the youth of Kibra their pride of place as future leaders. It is a Member of Parliament who is ready to afford the youth of Kibra their pride of place as future leaders that they are looking for, and, that Member of Parliament is none other than the son of the soil, hon. Eliud Owalo.
The reason why they’ll elect Hon. Owalo is because he’ll not only turn their socio-economic woes around, but also transform their constituency to a destination of pride and purpose and not a tourist attraction for poverty and slums.
Lastly, if I were a voter in Kibra, I would rather vote for Hon. Eliud Owalo, a forward looking candidate with a pedigree of loyalty, vision, courage dependability and proactiveness. Hon Owalo is a shrewd manager of resources than the visionless, profligate and laid-back economic and academic buccaneers in the name of leaders elected to serve.
The valiant citizens of Kibra are at crossroads and the way they cast their votes come 2017, will determine whether they are ready to get out of Egypt for Canaan or stay in Egypt and dine with the Pharaos as they are oppressed.
What Kibra needs more than ever is a farsighted leader like Hon. Owalo whose bipartisan efforts, singularity of focus resilience, in the face of quagmires will raise and place their constituency on the path of growth again.
