SETTING THE RECORD STRAIGHT
By Hon Jim Bonnie
The allegations peddled around falsely claiming that I am opposing Raila are very cheap and farewell in the sandbox of poorly choreographed propaganda with the obvious intention of spraying my otherwise admirable name with mud.
This has been contributed by the fact that I have been critical of some issues around jakom which i find dangerous to our quest for power. Those who think that I am not swimming along the sycophantic tides therefore feel jealous and have resorted to patching up stories to caress their low grade ego.
Well, the correct position is that I am not opposing Raila. However, I have to admit that I have constantly been opposing the status quo and the age old modus operandi which our party has clung onto for decades. My arguments have been that if we don’t adopt a new fashion of countering our enemies on the other side, we may not have a different result come 2017.
In short, I am just a young man who love smart things and abhors failure.
I have also maintained without fear that the way Raila is being handled should be a cause for alarm to us the young people who dearly need Raila’s presidency. I have consistently stood against mishandling of jakom without favouritism and iota of fear.
I don’t know how this has been baptised by those caricatures of Raila sycophants to mean opposing Raila. But let me make it crystal clear to all the naysayers and political busybodies in our party that I am not cowed, scared or moved by very cheap and shallow accusations against me. I am no one’s stooge and I will continue to express myself with the seriousness it warrants.
I don’t criticize my party and party leader to appease some street urchins and political beggars neither do I support Raila to excite those well known miserable quarters. Jim is an independent mind and I was taught by serious academicians never to accept manmade limitations especially those erected by pathetic opportunists.
In accusing me of opposing Raila, I have been reminded of my good friend Miguna Miguna and many others. I have been told that i will soon disappear like them. Well if you think that is the route I will follow, sit back and relax as I sour on majestically.
Interestingly, some of my prosecutors are those folks who the closest they have come to Raila is to see his image on an old newspaper used to cover meat or used to decorate ghetto houses. You find that these bimbos even have the audacity to tell me that to leave ODM if i am not satisfied. To hell with them!
I am not seducing your feelings so that you agree with me. In any case, I don’t need anyone to agree with me. My aim is to send the message whether it is taken or not is surely non of my business. Sadly, nobody ever counters the issues I raise with any intellectual rebuttal needed apart from foolish gloating over the facts I do raise.
If saying the truth and demanding good performance from ODM is viewed as opposing Raila, then so be it. As usual, Jim doesn’t give a damn. How I wish the youth would stop being the gatekeepers of status quo?
I remain the cantankerous,
