ODM Party Secretary General Ababu Namwamba has defended the recent decision by western leaders to visit state house ahead of the President’s vist to Mumias where he donated Ksh 1 billion to bail out the ailing sugar factory.
Mr. Namwamba, who has already indicated ODM did not make him win the Budalangi parliamentary seat contrary to propaganda by his critics, warn that some people in ODM want to push him out for working with the jubilee regime.
“The meeting was not about CORD or Jubilee but about the economic well-being of the people. When people from different parties meet, it does not mean that one of them has abandoned his party but that leaders have matured enough to close ranks when the lives of Kenyans are at sake,” he said, adding, “My party leader Raila Odinga was in Kisumu welcoming the President, will you also start saying that even he has become a mole? If other parties meet with the Jubilee Government it is for the sake of development.”
