Statehouse director for New Media Dennis Itumbi has condemned the stonning of Raila Odinga’s motorcade in Nakuru today. Read his statement below:>
Every leader has a right to address people in any part of Kenya.
If you do not agree with anyone’s ideology just keep off their meetings.
Though the police were not notified of a public meeting, they acted well to disperse the rowdy youth and save Hon. Raila Odinga and his ODM team.
Let Hon. Raila Odinga address people. Let him sell his ideas. If you have contrary views call your meeting and put the points accross.
What is outright wrong is wrong and the fact that I do not agree with Hon. Raila does not mean I cheer such actions.
Pole sana Hon.Raila Odinga – The constitution guarantees freedom of assembly and speech if it does not incite war or hate.
Let Raila Odinga meet his supporters even if they are 20 in a village of 500k people.
