City business magnate famously known as MAMBA, has joined 2017 Ruai MCA race. King Mamba’s entry into the race has sent jitters among other aspirants, their godfathers and political operatives.
Mamba announced on Sunday that he’ll be taking over the ward so as to diligently serve the sophisticated people of Ruai. He was speaking while presiding over a youth fundraiser at the famous Kasarani Mwiki’s EXPORT VILLA.
Mamba’s political declaration did not augur well with his supporters especially those in Kisii because they wanted him to vie for MP seat from home.
“My ambition is to serve the people from grass-root level. People have pushed me to go for MP back at home in Kisii but I have declined because I feel I should give back to the people of Ruai. I am who I am because of Ruai residents. They embraced me when I needed them the most and I cannot just abandon them like that for for my motherland. It was a painful decision to make because both of them laove me as their leader but I had to give back to my immediate community. May be, just may be some day I’ll go back to the village and serve my people in the capacity of MP. answered Mwamba while responding to Job Ongera, a renowned Kenyan veteran journalist”
“I want to be a leader with a difference. Unlike other leaders who concentrate more on their stomach infrastructure, to me it is people first. That old preposterous charade of ‘Our time to eat’ is long dead and buried. I will make sure that the people on the ground enjoy the fruits of devolution. I am a man of the people and the people have already declared their love for me. It is just a matter of days before I am declared winner. I want my competitors to know that a rock that is in the middle of the ocean does not fear rain” Explained Mamba as he responded to another journalist Mr. Walter Mochache.
Mwamba is yet to give his political plans for his people.
