A section of Luhyia community from Kakamega County is demanding for their names to be scribed in packets of Jogoo Maize meal. They say they are not happy when they appear in coke cans and are urging manufacturers to consider their request since it’ll boost business for them.
Zedekiah Anyoge, the chairman of the Kakamega based Luhyia Abaluhyia initiative says their people have coerced them to tender that request to Millers since they feel discriminated given that they are the pioneers of Ugali Eating in Kenya.
According to Jogoo Maize Millers, the company is still weighing the options and is likely to grant them their humble request.
