Grown up men whistled and cheered like idiots as Kirinyaga Governor Joseph Ndathi opened a multi million bridge that connects East to West. According to the governor, the bridge will also serve as a short cut to the Kirinyaga museum that houses archaeological evidence that demonstrates county Kirinyaga County is the cradle of mankind.
The occasion was attended by jubilant area residents. Speaking at the function, Governor Ndathi reiterated his vision for Kirinyaga to be the shining county on the hill, invoking the spirit of former American president Ronald Reagan.
In addition, he noted that the new bridge will help attract tourists to the county to marvel at malarkey and confirm the old adage that “Kirinyaga nî ndia ya irimû” (Kirinyaga is a hotbed of stupidity).
