Controversial televangelist, Apostle James Maina Ng’ang’a, of Neno Evangelism Centre is at it again even after killing Mercy Njeri with his Range Rover in a fatal road crash last week.
Ng’ang’a says he is ready to go to jail for his crime and those castigating him over the death of Mercy can go to hell.
Speaking yesterday, the defiant Nga’ng’a said he does not fear jail because he has been there before and that prison is just like his second home.
“Let me be jailed. I do not fear prison because I have been imprisoned before and therefore to me, jail is just like a second home,” said the defiant preacher.
However, he maintained his innocence, saying he was not the one who killed Mercy and neither was his car, even though he declined to confirm or deny whether he was in Naivasha on that fateful day.
He called on the police to investigate the matter thoroughly and unravel the truth that would set him free.
“Let me be arrested, there are laws in this country and police are supposed to do their work of investigation and get to the bottom of this matter, which has now damaged my reputation,” said Ng’ang’a.
Ng’ang’a’s words have left many Kenyans wondering whether he is truly guilty of killing the poor Mercy.
Apostle Ng’ang’a is an ex-convict at Shimo la Tewa Prison in Mombasa.
