Machakos Senator Johnston Muthama may just have driven the last nail in the coffin of Deputy President William Ruto’s only chance to free himself from the International Criminal Court (ICC).
The CORD Senator opposed calls by Jubilee to have former Prime Minister Raila Odinga travel to The Hague to testify for Ruto as well as record a statement with the police over what he knows about the DP’s fixing at the ICC.
This also comes just after Raila Odinga issued three conditions to President Uhuru Kenyatta and Jubilee before he can testify for Ruto at The Hague.
However, Muthama vowed never to let that happen, saying at no point will CORD allow Raila to record a statement with the police over Ruto’s fixing claims.
He asked Ruto and Uhuru to carry their own cross because the fixers dine and wine with them in Jubilee and not CORD.
“CORD will not allow you (Raila) to record any statement. The case is between Ruto and (President) Uhuru. The people who fixed Ruto are known, let them bear their burdens,” said Muthama.
