My Beloved KENYA POWER,
I hope you are industriously powering Kenya as always. No amount of written or spoken words can satisfactorily express my deep and sincerest gratitude for you—only the inaudible language of the heart. Ever since you freed me from the shackles of perpetual darkness, you earned a permanent place in my heart and I readily attest here that you’ll forever remain august in my heart.
Kenya Power, my admiration for you beats the logic of eloquence. If I died and God asked me what I’d like to come back as, I’d say energy; so I be reborn in your promising transformers, roll down your insulated cables and light the bulbs on people’s houses. Thank you Dr. Ben Chumo for your adeptness and outstanding leadership in Kenya Power.
Sometimes back, when I used to enjoy your electricity and unfortunately that ridiculous blackout happened to emerge from nowhere, my eyes turned weak as my body suddenly turned lackadaisical. But not anymore, through a newly rebranded Kenya Power, God sent a Moses to rescue me from that EGYPT of DARKNESS.
Cherished Kenya Power, every time I am enjoying your electricity in my house through my TV set and brilliantly shining bulbs, I endlessly thank God for creating you because I am sure he must have been showing off when creating you. You are the best gift one can be given at any given Moment.
Thank you for reducing your connection fee and shortening the connection period because Most of us are fully connected.
When haters came like a tsunami, you bravely raised a standard against them with your double edged sword of defensive mechanisms. Not even the thieves’ vandalizing prowess could defeat your Mulika Mwizi Strategy. You displayed your rich pedigree with royal courage. You showed resistance and now you are happy for it. You were not cowed by overwhelming thugs set to finish you.
Sincerely speaking my love Kenya Power, I admire your braveness and wizardry in reading your clients’ minds. After realizing that there is no tree in my father’s compound that grows money in Ksh or US$ notes, you reduced your tariffs by more than half, giving me hope of not returning to that regretful Egypt of darkness. How could life be without you beloved Kenya Power?
As if that is not enough, you discovered that sometimes I am penniless and not able to afford your token. Being the intelligent mind you are, you partnered with other stakeholders and enabled me to OKOA STIMA as I wait for my salary. By dialing *885#, I am good to go. I can buy Tokens, pay Power Bills and Okoa Stima that I repay after 7 days with 10% facility fief.
Lastly with powered factories, we are too positive to be doubtful. With our streets brightly lit at night, we are too optimistic to be fearful. With our youth busily earning through electricity, our economy is too determined to be defeated. Long live Kenya Power, Long live Dr. Chumo. Thanking you in advance.
