A Kenyan gay man, who recently tied the knot with his white partner in Michigan USA, is also silently and innocently loved by a top Jubilee City MP.
Ben Gitau, 33, who got married to an American mathematics professor, Steve Damelin, had a secret admirer who longed for him.
The first time MP from Nairobi County who also want to vie for a top seat in the city is said to be cursing how the white man snatched from him his secret love. The MP adopted 3 kids from a woman whom he married to cover his gay lifestyle is said to be a top behind the scenes gay crusader campaigning for gay rights in Kenya.
Gitau comes from Nakuru and he was previously living in Atlanta, Georgia, before moving to the state of California. The MP who is married to a prominent Kiambu family is believed to be have had a crash on Gitau when they met in USA three years ago, the MP is a well known gay and also a sponsor of many gay initiatives. The MP has been invited to the USA embassy to preside over a relaxed gay parade this year.
Same-sex-marriage was legalized in the State of Michigan in June last year in a landmark US Supreme court ruling which struck down the states’ ban on gay marriages “as long as they love each other”.
In October 2015, President Uhuru Kenyatta warned against “witch-hunts” on homosexuals saying all Kenyans have a right to protection under the law.
Uhuru asked the public not to take matters into their own hands and harass community members, as the Constitution is clear on the protection of all.
