Tips for Reducing Body Odor in men permanently

Body odor is a common issue in teenagers and adults. It is not very comfortable and might be an embarrassment. As we make movements or engage in strenuous activities, our bodies tend to sweat. Since bacteria are present on our skin, when mixed with sweat may result in body odor. Men are more prone to odor but you can easily change that.

Do you know you can lead a free-odor life? By changing your routine and maintaining good hygiene, you are sure of the best results.

Here is what you need to do to regain that natural smell, odorless?

1.Shower with Antibacterial Soap

Wash away sweat and odor-causing bacteria by taking regular baths or showers. Washing thoroughly with an antibacterial soap will help get rid of some bacteria as it helps with the odor.

You need to take time to thoroughly wash areas of the body that are more prone to sweating such as underarms and feet. Then dry yourself to prevent bacteria from breeding on skin.

2. Watch your Diet

Cut out on certain foods and drinks. You are what you eat and some foods can contribute to causing body odor.

Foods that tend to make you sweat more, such as hot peppers, onions, garlic, or other spicy foods contain aromas that can come out through your pores when you sweat.

Drinks with caffeine or alcohol can also cause you to sweat more.

Try to maintain a healthy diet as much as possible. It may not be necessarily about cutting them out on your diet but rather consuming them in moderation.

3. Use Antiperspirants or Deodorants

Once you clean and dry, you can use strong antiperspirants on your underarms as they mask the smell of odor-causing bacteria. You can apply once in the morning or once before bedtime. These deodorants have a chemical, aluminum chloride that helps keep sweat away.

You don’t need a prescription to get a powerful antiperspirant. Look for ones that say they’re higher strength.

If you think you need more help, ask your doctor about prescription antiperspirants as some may contain strong compounds which are dangerous for your body.

4. Do Your Laundry

Bacteria easily accumulate on used clothes and an unpleasant smell can stick when not washed properly. You should wash your clothes regularly with antibacterial soap to avoid the awful smell of odor-causing bacteria.

Fresh clothes helps to keep the body odor down hence a change of clothes often when you are sweating heavily is highly advised.

If you tend to have foot odor make sure you wash and change your socks frequently or use deodorant powders in your shoes or go barefoot when possible.

5. Towel off Well

Once you’ve showered properly, Dry yourself completely focusing on areas where you sweat a lot.

It is harder for bacteria to breed on your skin when it’s dry hence you won’t have any stinky body odor.

6. Always keep yourself clean

You need to at least shower once or twice a day to wash away sweat and get rid of some of the bacteria on your skin.

When the bacteria that live on your skin mix with sweat, they multiply quickly and raise quite a stink as sweat by itself is basically odorless.

Washing areas that you tend to sweat the most helps in reducing the body odor.

The best way to prevent body odor is to maintain proper hygiene. Prevent bacteria build-up through frequent showering and hand washing with antibacterial soaps to gain great-smelling and long-lasting protection against odor-causing bacteria for up to 24 hours.
